Welcome to Dan our new drummer and Chris our new guitarist! It’s very exciting to be playing with a full line up and everyone has been working really hard to make sure we’re ready for our first outing all together. Dan and Chris have already had a huge impact on the sound and dynamics of Codette and we can’t wait to showcase it to everyone, which looks like it will be Live Licks on the 21st April – hope to see you there!

I was asked to be a hair model for Toni & Guy the other day. To be honest I was a bit nervous, what with a combination of the unknown (and what girl doesn't want to know what she’s going to end up looking like) and lights and cameras and things. I mean poncing around a stage acting like a poser is one thing, but posing for the camera is something else entirely. I thought to myself, ‘Elly you need a pose, you know, something moody but interesting’. Should have been a doddle – most people will tell you I do moody quite well, as for the interesting part, that comes with being pale. A cinch I thought and went straight off to the bathroom mirror for a spot of gurning. Anyway the problem didn’t turn out to be the posing so much as actually standing still for any length of time…
Gilmore did the cover art for our E.P Stars of DTV. We told him what the EP was going to be called and he came up with the star design – and it fits really well with our music. Is it just me or is designing the cover always really hard? Not because we cant think of any ideas, but normally because there are too many! Id really recommend asking someone else to do it for you – they could have a totally different take on it. Jay
We recently launched our new EP STARS OF DTV. We spent ages on getting it as right as we could (at home) and it's the first set of songs we have felt have really defined us as a band. We started Codette a year and a half ago as an electro duo but our sound developed into a more New Wave slant as we drew on more and more of our favorite influences. Jacob joined a few months ago to play keyboards and Jay moved onto playing the bass. Let us know what you think...
